BTW, I have the Erlechtung.  It is a very beautiful piece.  The external power supply is as big as my Bent.....

The pre section is as heavy as most amplifiers.

Pro's to the SL, it has MUCH better looks, and it has a MM/MC phono stage.

Pro's to the Bent, remote control.

They are both SUPERIOR pre's IMO.

It would just come down to system synergy and personal taste.

The Erlechtung was also the only pre-amp that I felt was better than the Radii.

I wouldn't mind it if I still had my Pioneer DVL-700. Was only an ok DVD player, but was a damn good LD player.

I do regret not selling my Pioneer Elite DVL-91 and replacing it with a Pioneer Japan LD-S9. Too late now as the price of the S9 has gone up, while the price of the 91 is half what it used to be...

My Electro Research EK-1.  It was one of only two strain guage pick up systems ever created in the world.  Winn Labs made the other.  Dumping the Alphason Titanium tonearm for the Syrinx PU 3 was another mistake.  Then there was the Oracle Delfi and the Acoustats.  Replacing the ARC Classic 30 for the solid state Aaragon 4004 was another one of those dumb ideas, but then I dumped quickly it in favor of a Pass Aleph 3.

The Decware Zen I now have is for life.  CD player and speakers are up in the air!

All my LP's in the early '90s.   Had to start over again.

I myself rarely change components as my motto is "Be satisfied with what you've got" so seller's remorse is not in my vocabulary

I had a great collection of LPs, not too many, about 300 or so but all very very good. I gave them all away. VERY BAD MOVE. These can never be replaced, I have tried.

I thought is was going to be CDs forever and just assumed I'd be able to get all the LPs back in a newer better CD version, never happened.

Live and learn...

Spendor BC1s long time ago; Apogee Duetta Signature later; then gave away all my LPs. Sorry for ever.

My Monitor Audio PMC703's.  Such a sweet mid range.  The part I miss most is the beautiful rosewood and the gold drivers.  BTW - I sold them to my neighbor - Seeing how nice they look in his house somehow makes it worse. :(

Altec 19s. Sold them and wasted 20 years messing around with "high-end" - REAL stupid. Recently got another pair of Altecs (604s) and I'm enjoying music again. Sure glad I kept my vinyl - never could stand CD.
