What is "The Red Circuit Board"?
« on: 26 Nov 2004, 02:55 am »
I just purchased a used Stratos Plus, and the seller bought it only a few months ago. He mentioned that this is the newer version, the one with the red circuit board. What is this?

TIA

In the beggining the PCB (circuit board) from Odyssey electronics was green, nowadays it is red and yes it is red more or less since some other standard upgrades were done, by example, the use of Plitron transformers.

I guess the vendor told you that as a way to support the fact that it is a newer unit.

While we are on the topic, what are all changes that have been made over the years to the Stratos amp?

Well I do not remember well, but they are all better now...  :D

Ok, the board is one, the transformers are other improvement, custom made capacitors is another, replacing lamps for leds is another...

And a lot of fine tunning...

If I remember more I'll let you know.
