Up for sale is a Panache integrated amplifier from Portal Audio. The Panache is an integrated amplifier with a passive pre-amp section. It offers balance and volume controls, along with input switching among four inputs. Also has an excellent headphone jack. Since it has a passive pre-amp section (no gain, only attenuation), it can also be used as a power amplifier.
For those in the know, Portal Audio was an audio company founded by industry veteran Joe Abrams. Portal Audio produced amplifiers which they sold directly to consumers. The amplifiers were reportedly designed by Nelson Pass, another industry legend.
This is an awesome amp, read the many online reviews. No fluff, no extra features (like a remote), just simple, high quality amplification.
I bought this in 2010, from another audiophile. I have used it in both my HT system, and my office audio system. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Selling to finance the purchase of some new speakers.
Condition is VG+. Some light wear marks here and there. No dents, dings, or idiot marks.
