Hi, I was drawn to this forum as I see it contains a thread on ways to replace Logitech Squeezebox Touch (SBT) media players.  I have three of these, one for each floor of my house, each running the enhanced digital output app and driving external DACs.  My reference rig is quite nice: SBT -> Benchmark DAC -> Mark Levinson amp -> Totem Forest speakers.  I have yet to find anything that can compete with the functionality of the SBT at a comparable price.

Now I am looking to install an audio system in the large building where my wife works, and a set of inexpensive SBT replacements would be ideal.  I hope to find information on this and other audio topics down the road.  Perhaps I can be of assistance to others at some point as well.

Best regards.

Welcome to AC. I still use an SBT in one of my setups and like it just fine as a transport.  In another I use a hacked plug PC.  A raspberry Pi might do it for you.

That's a fine attitude and I know you will fit in here just dandy!!  Welcome aboard hike!

I don't know much about cool digital thingamabobs, but I have read here about people using RaspberryPi/HAT running software of some kind that make it emulate a Squeezebox. The Search function will provide plenty of threads for you to digest, and feel free to ask questions in the relevant circles.
