Good evening All,

I just acquired a M2TECH HiFace USB to Coaxial converter.
My question is do you need to set JRiver to output the audio signal through the USB port.

I'm sure there's info on places like here:  https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=56403.0

You should yes. I don't recall if M2Tech still uses proprietary drivers, but if they do you will need to install them and then the HiFace should appear as an option in the output selection fields in JRiver.

I recently purchased a similar unit from another source. I had to download their driver from Windows. I also had to go into the audio options in jriver and switch to their listed output . It is my understanding Co-ax will only do 24/192 max?

As the others have said, the answer is yes.

Go to Tools > Options > Audio Device.
