YUP!    Know your market values, and  know what your gear is worth to you relative to what the market will pay.  PRICE FISHING ???  I'm not a fan.   My RED flag meter also goes off when the "sense of urgency is ramped up to HIGH"   -    IE:  when the seller says he/she is leaving in couple of days for the rest of the year.    No urgency here.  We can take care of business AFTER you get back. I'm in no rush

FWIW, one person may like to see themselves as a "straight shooter", but to the rest of the world they're likely viewed as just plain rude or obnoxious.
