Wally always has good prices, but is offering a few extra good deals right now. I'm not in the market, and not super familiar with all his brands, but here are a few that stand out to me:

After reading the thread johzel started, http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=147340.0, I placed an order for the CL-1's on Sunday from Underwood Hifi and Walter shipped them out on Monday. Hopefully will get them by Friday. I tried to justify needing another set of speakers and talk myself out of it but thought for the price it would be a sin not to get these. I mean I'm right, right?

You will be surprised. 100 hours for break in. At $795, these was a good deal, $200 a much better deal, a steal. The image and soundstage is great.

As I wait for my new Salk speakers to ship I am listening to pair of CL-1's with a CLS-12 subwoofer. (Have CL-2's in my HT) The combo is amazing IMO. I'm playing them with a pretty decent front end (Exogal Comet/Ion combo) but I must say, the little Gallos are really really good. I just think they're a no brainer, especially at this price. An experienced audio person that listened to mine the other day ordered a pair on his way home.

At $199 you're getting A-stock speakers and full warranty. Enjoy!!

I hesitated to post this as I didn't want to confuse you further. I've not heard any of Walter's speaker offerings. And yes, cherry veneer cost more.

It looks to me as if the Gallos are now $250/pair. Although someone at Amazon has them for $150:

Underwood lists the Gallo CL-1 on his website for $249/$279 but also has an ad on Audiogon listing them for $199/$229 (both plus shipping).

The Exocal setup looks very nice, how much?

I got my system back up this morning with my Classico l's. My vote for the best value of the year award has to go to these Classico l's. Very similar sound to the Omega Super 3l's for $500 less. Made with real wood, be careful when you rap on the cabinet.

I agree 100% with jonzel. This is a no brainier.

Exogal on sale with walter now for $3999 the ion amp and comet dac . $4299 for the combo with upgraded power supply . Have the combo coming on Tuesday !

JLM and others,
Wally has the LSA 2.1 in rosewood for $999 on A-gon. Also, at Accessories 4 less they just dropped the price of a Pioneer SC 87 receiver to $699. Retail is $1999. They dropped the price on Friday from $$799 to $749 and today they dropped it down to the $699 price about 10 minutes ago.

Picked up a pair of the LSA-1 monitors for $599. Interested in giving them a listen. Curious about the Quad 23i and 25i, anyone have any first hand info on these?

And yes, he's great to deal with. He told me to always call because often times the actual price is lower than whats on the website.

Walter's best deals are typically sent out to his email list of prior customers and he has more than one list.

He usually prefers that people call him to order and unless he's specified in the email not to share price information the easiest thing to do is just tell him a friend told you about a particular deal.

Once you've purchased from him you'll start to get his emails.

He's a great guy, great customer service.

thanks for the recommendation on the gallo's and underwood hifi.speakers sound super.fit and finish are great.
because the price was so low, i figured they would be crappy.
there is nothing like a referral network.we help each other !
