Recently bitten by the audiophile bug. I hate myself a little... searching for vintage dacs after losing an ebay auction for a Theta DS Pro Gen Va.

Look around here for a while; you'll find a DAC.

Welcome to AudioCircle, stryker704.

Most older DAC's are a poor value as the technology has advanced so much.  For instance, 8 years ago well respected DAC's could only do Redbook.  A $1500 DAC from then can be exceeded sonically by a $300 DAC today, plus today's $300 DACs can handle high resolution PCM and DSD/DXD.  Another example:  iFi micro iDSD Black is a $500 very high sound quality yet tiny $550 USD DAC/preamp/headphone amp, DSD to 512, PCM to 768, DXD to 768, analog and coax/optical/USB digital inputs.
