Seeking low of high end turntable. Repair suggestions for the one I have.

      Just knocked out by a dysfunctional Dual  701 that I have owned 5 mos. and now the motor will not turn. The light comes on, but at the same time the arm cannot move more than an inch from its holder. Any suggestions on how I may fix this problem myself.
