Saw this and must agree, fun movie. Ricky Baker's character was just too funny.

btw: The main character (older guy) played the scientist in the original Jurassic Park.

Watched it a couple nights ago. Enjoyed it. Also has a great soundtrack, lots of toe tappin music.

Time to bump this movie because we all need a heart warming film right about now.

When 'Hunt for the Wilderpeople' was released in 2016 director Taika Waititi was not well known, since then he has directed 'Thor: Ragnarok' and was the director, screenwriter and producer along with playing Adolf in 'Jojo Rabbit'.

Taika also has a cameo in Wilderpeople as the crazy, incomprehensible preacher.

Now streaming on Netflix.
