Jay's black curly cherry Song3's

Jay paid us a visit from CA.  A long way to travel to hear speakers, I thought.  But, as I recall, he came to MI to do a little mushroom hunting.  While here, he decided he wanted a pair of Song3's.  But he had a hard time figuring out what the finish should be.  He finally chose curly cherry with a light black dye and burst edges.

Awesome choices, really goes with the drivers. The burst works surprisingly well with wood choice. Nice.

beautiful! Is the finished front baffle standard on the Song3 or upgrade?

Standard as shown with burst edges.  If not a burst edge, there would be an upgrade for hardwood trim on the cabinet edges.

Nice finish.  Are my eyes playing tricks on me - it looks like the burst finish runs along the bottom front of one speaker (just above the plinth), but not the other?  Perhaps it's just the way the pic was cropped.

The 3rd sealer coat is finished. They were ordered Aug. 17 so it shouldn't be too long now.

I noticed the same thing.  Now it looks like it's been fixed.
