This is meant to be a reminder and not a startling revelation..
While cleaning before first play of a new record I found an inclusion of some foreign material
in the very first song. Either the vinyl is regrind of dubious quality or something fell into the press during manufacturing.
Could have damaged my needle at best.

I'm sure this isn't unusual but check them out before spinning the first time..

I use the Audio Desk ultrasonic cleaner for all records...and I "inspect" the surfaces, both sides, after running it through. BUT this inclusion thing could easily pass a cursory inspection. Did you dig it out or return the disc or decide that you didn't like the first song anyway (so you won't play it)?

I didn't want to dig it out or have to remember is was there during a later listening session so I returned it. Bought through Amazon so replacement was easy and fast.
