SV-236

Hybrid, integrated speaker with 3 12AX7 tubes which produces fully class A for the first 10W and can produce 100w stereo or 180w mono. This is a tubed pre-amp and solid state amp. Has a remote.  The current tubes are new issue Tungsol.and have maybe 500 hours on them. The original tubes have just a few hours on them and will be supplied. I used them with Merlin TSM speakers and they sounded great. There is a preout, a line monitor for recording and 4 speaker terminals biwiring. There is also a loudness control and a treble bass control as well as room for 6 RCA inputs.

The following is a review of the amplifier

The subsequent model was a SV-236MK. As far as I can tell, the only difference was that the MK model went to 150w. There are a number of very good reviews of the SV-236MK model which you can find on google.

I am selling this unit because it is and was hardly every used. I bought it new for a second system but I’ll bet it averages no more than an hour a week. At times, it can sit for months without being turned on.

Cosmetically and functionally like a new unit. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is extra. Paypal—add 3%.

Asking $850 Shipping is $57. If the actual cost is less than that, I will refund it. The current version is sv-237. The 237 puts out 150W, has a USB input and a 12v power on input. Otherwise, it is similar to the 236. It sells for $2400 on line.
