Can a stereo 3.5mm (both ends) cable be used for a trigger cable? I know trigger jacks are mono but I don't know how the contact is positioned. I found one stereo 3.5mm in my junk box but no mono cables. I don't have the electronics yet so I can't test and I definitely don't want to damage anything. I do know the electronics don't come with trigger cable.
