I finally got around to renting the movie Brooklyn.. A story about a young women who
immigrated from Ireland to Brooklyn in the 1950’s for a better life. I really enjoyed this
movie… Great acting and story.. The scenery alone brought back a lot of memories for me.
I highly recommend this movie..

Brooklyn,
did you know that the movie Brooklyn was made just for you ?  :D
I will try to get it, because if you say it's a good movie, I am sure it is.

I could make my own movie with everything
I am experiencing here on planet Vietnam.

Wait! You're telling me that you actually enjoyed this movie? It had:

1. No sex
2. No car crashes
3. No CGI
4. No alien invaders
5. No exotic weapons
6. No dead bodies
7. No superheroes

You know what? So did I. I loved it!

My complain about movies these days is that they have too much violence,
bad language and many scenes are too dark, at night.
Action movies are also sometimes violence movies.
However, there are still some movies that are what I am looking for.
The note book, Forrest Gump, Big fish...

Enjoyed it. Somewhat heart wrenching. All movies involving the old country
(no matter what country) seem to have sad undertones.

Ronan carries the movie. She is a bona fide star. There isn't much of a plot. It's more of a tone piece, almost like a short story. No major dramatic turns, even. But it's a great film.

Guy, I think the movie was made for me, not only did I throughly enjoy it but it
brought back memories growing up in Brooklyn in the late 50’s early 60’s

Throwback, there actually was one sex scene in the movie but it was quick..
Maybe you got up to go to the bathroom.. lol

I have been shying away from action movies for awhile, the last few I watched
left me waiting for the movie to finally end..

My other pick for a great movie was The Man Who Knew Infinity with Dev Patel
and Jeremy Irons.. A true story…. Enjoy

I really liked it, too.  It was definitely a character piece, no big sweeping epic.  Soirse Ronan was terrific and the supporting cast was excellent.
