I've been dragging my feet on this for a couple years and now (finally) I'm selling my much-loved Salk HT3s in Satin Black with RAAL tweeters.

In the four years that I have owed them, they have gone from a dedicated 2-channel system to a shared home theater setup to an almost-only Netflix playback machine with some Pandora. It's just NOT right. And even though I do have a small man-cave for music listening, I don't have space for these beasts. These are WAY too incredible to be used for such compressed audio.

I'm passing them along and getting something much smaller. I am the second owner and, since they were at Jim's place getting some refinish work, I received adoption papers! They were perfect when I received them and they are still in great shape. Probably better than great. 8+ I believe. No mentionable dings or scrapes or scratches or marks. Only very light swirl-marks in the finish and a couple of TINY imperfections on the edges (as if you tossed a nickel from across the room and it landed on the edge) <invisible from a few feet away. The only other thing I can think of to mention is that I have used a few strips of BlueTack between the speakers and the plinths. This could result in some residue. I'm not even sure I should attempt to scrape it off because I think it is such a benefit. I'll let the buyer decide.

If, by some chance, you are near Albuquerque (not much of a hifi market), I would be happy to let you audition the speakers in my now-modest system which includes a Nuforce Multi-channel preamp, OPPO BDP-105 and Odyssey Khartago power amp, with or without my 15" Salk Rythmik sub (not-so-modest) :D.

The Veracity HT3 continues to be offered by Salk for a base price of $6500 plus shipping.

The first owner took the brunt of the depreciation so I can offer them at $3800 plus shipping and PayPal fees.

Ships from Albuquerque, New Mexico (87112)
Each box measures 17x32x51.5" and weighs 112 pounds

BIG, HEAVY speakers. They were shipped to me via FedEx Ground - so I know it's possible to have shipped other than freight.
Original boxes and packaging material included. Grills, plinths, spikes... everything as with a new pair.

Same speakers / different homes.

thanks for looking!

Chris

ABF trucking has locations near both of us. 1] 4800 lincoln rd. , ALBQ NM 87109 --- 2] 1515 north front st. , reading pa 19601  --- A terminal to terminal dropoff / pickup would be the best way to minimize handling & cost. If you can take the boxes to your ABF location to ship ...and i pick them up at my ABF location.  ~ v.kohl

That's a great deal!  I WILL mention that those are a previous version without the sought-after RAAL tweeter... and they have the older-style 2-part baffle. But, they have a nice, upgraded veneer.

I am open to offers on my latest-version pair.

Yes! I think you're right.
He sent them to Jim for refinish work and I received adoption papers on them from Jim. So cool.
They replaced my B&W Nautilus 803n in rose nut. Those are gorgeous speakers in a more spectacular way (very attention grabbing). The highs and mids of the HT3s completely DESTROY the 803s. By comparison, the 803s sound like plastic toys when it comes to vocals. They also cast such a narrow soundstage compared to the HT3s.  I cannot even listen to B&Ws anymore.  Anyway, the point of my story is 'yes, these were Merritt's speakers before mine'.

still available for purchase or audition.
