McCormack Micro Integrated Drive $. SOLD
Word on the street is that McCormack's Micro sized headphone amp had good enough output that they added Speaker terminals for casual External listening sessions.

Given the power output , ideally it's good for efficient speakers.  You're not going to have much success driving Celestion SL700s  but  if you're driving a set of Klipsch,  Kef Ref 102's , Loth X,  Acoustic Energy Aegis One, or speakers in the 89 - 90+ db 1w/1m range or higher, then those are fair game to pair with the Micro Integrated..

as a headphone Amp?   right up there with the Schiit Asgard II.

Also for sale: NAKAMICHI 400 series system ,  Parasound Z series separates and a Teac Reference System and more...

Just curious, have you ever tried using it with an upgraded power supply?

Does the wallwart provide DC or a stepped down AC?

SMC made an upgraded power supply for the micro series,  2 versions as I recall, so you can indeed use an upgraded PS if you own one or want to procure one ( perhaps even a DIY build, if that's your thing).

What's the wallwart rated at? I'm just curious if I have anything at home that could sub for it.

The wall-wart is 22VAC @ 500mA, but you can use 24VAC at higher current no problem. The MID was designed as a headphone amp but it is capable of driving small, high-sensitivity speakers (6 ohms or higher) pretty well - just don't get carried away!

See the reply by Steve McCormack  (SMc Audio).

if you have a decent 24V PS that should stand in as a sub.

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately, this is just outside my budget to satisfy my idle curiosity right now (especially factoring in border crossing fees/taxes).
