Hello, friends.
Back in the early days of AV123, years ago, I was able to "play around" with the factory we had here in Colombia.
We used the XCS basic design, keep their internal volume, electronics and "designed" a loudspeaker to be mounted up in the corner of our terrace:









Fast forward to today. We are moving to a smaller house and I want to know if I can use this "Frankenspeaker" as L&R.
They are right now placed right on the floor, connected to my small 2 channel system.





My question is:
Besides the normal concern for a totally irregular box, how bad is to have the tweeter at 13" from the floor (center of the tweeter to floor), tilted and to be placed about 9 ft from the listening chair.
Timing issues?
FWIW, they are sounding nice to my old ears.
I need your opinion, I want you to have fun and laugh if you want!.

that is going to work great,
the highs may be rolled off a tad at the listening position, but that is fine for HT and using in an untreated room,
I think you are in good shape.

Great!! I am planning to upgrade them with Danny in order to get the most out of them.
I will keep you posted. One thing: Bass is really nice, I guess is the interaction with the floor.

Just by changing the size of the front baffle and adding more surface area around the tweeter you have changed the response quite a bit. You also increase the low frequency range by the added reflections of the floor and front wall.

If it were me I'd consider building the same speaker into the old traditional floor standing MTM cabinet.

If the highs end up being rolled off too much, you could always build a little  wedge stand that tilted them forward a bit more.
If they are at a 45 degree angle and your listen chair is 9' away, those  tweeters will be "on axis" at 9'  in the air at your listening postion  try tilting them forward a bit and see if you notice a big difference

On the ceiling or on the floor your getting sound to the middle of the room, very sweet and gave me a chuckle

as well as to how good or bad the pitch is, you said you love the sound, so there's your answer 

And the wood is very very beautiful.

Joseph D'Appolito.  Not sure about Krell, but he was chief engineer at Snell Acoustics 2003 - 2010.
