New guy here

Hey all,
greetings from the Motor City, well, just north of it anyways.

getting back into HIFI after way too many years of listening to MP3's. I sold my Fisher rack system from the 80's a few years back. When I set it up for the buyer, and popped a cd in, I instantly realized what I'd been missing.

My Kids are into Vinyl now, so I'm jumping back in with both feet. This time though, instead of a full rack system, with 4 foot tall speakers, with 15" drivers, I'm looking to go small. I'm about to pull the trigger on a TDA3116d2 amp with the Sainsmart two tube pre, but am also looking at Folsoms 7297 rig.

I've already picked up a pair of really nice KLH model twenty's and a pair of rough Advents (don't know the model) with 10" drivers for $35 for both pairs, and a near mint Garrard Lab 80, with new cartridge and stylus for $30.

If you haven't figured it out I'm also looking to do this fairly economically, as I love a good deal.

Welcome back into audio and welcome to Audio Circle. Lots of good advice on vintage/budget gear.  BTW, love those big Advents!  :thumb:

Greetings & Welcome to AC grindliner   :thumb:  Still have my Advent Utilities from my 1st real system, circa '74. And they still sound pretty good.  8)
