For sale is my Musical Design/Musical Concepts Chameleon Elite preamplifier. The Chameleon is an interesting design, in that you can swap out different tube boards (not just different tubes) so that different types of tubes can be used. Mine has the PC-4T board, which uses two 6922 tubes (you can find descriptions of the different boards on the website). I'm asking $1550 including shipping to the CONUS and paypal.
Musical Design's John Hilig makes many very high quality preamps and amps, as well as modifications on Hafler and Adcom amps. He has an excellent reputation among his customers, and typically flies under the radar. But at their price points, his products are among the best available. My Chameleon was upgraded beyond the usual Elite level listed on the website. John says it is the best he can make short of including a separate power supply. It also comes with remote volume control. New, the unit cost $4,000. Like all of John's products, it sounds wonderful, and has worked perfectly since I bought it from him new a year ago.
