Guys (yeah, and maybe some girls...):
I'm using the Sony HDD Audio app-IOS version- with my HAP-Z1ES and am trying to figure out how to configure my player and preamp so that the app volume up and down buttons work. There is no documentation built into the app, and very little on the HAP-Z1ES under the Amplifier Control option. There is an IR out on the back of the Z1ES, but only a Control "S" and "A" input on my preamp (Sony TA-E9000ES). Maybe I need an IR blaster, but not sure where I'd even put it.
Has anyone actually done this?
Also, sometimes the Z1ES does not respond to a change of song- not locked up, but essentially unresponsive for quite a while. Again, has anyone had this happen?
