Greetings to the circle!
I was raised in a family business that eventually sold almost everything electronic from resistors and tubes to full blown professional sound systems. During the 1970's we owned 3 or 4 "HiFI" stores in Alabama in Sheffield, Florence, and Birmingham. Powell HiFi became a well known name during that time. We were BIG resellers of JBL, Pioneer and many other brands. As a salesman, I was allowed to order a pair of JBL speakers directly from JBL for the price of ONE speaker. So, I bought a pair of L100's for about $187 if I recall correctly. I still have them and recently hooked them up and was AMAZED at how good they sounded. I still have literature, brochures, and even some of the posters JBL gave to their dealers at Christmas. I'll be wanting to learn more about my collection and perhaps part with some of it.
