The JJAZ amps and a whole lot of BOLDER Cables have made two stops now.

We have not received very many comments about the amps and none about the cables.

The reasons the amps and cables ARE on tour is to let folks listen to them AND post their impressions, good, bad or indifferent.

In both places the amps have stopped, there was a good sized turnout and A LOT of gear. I really do not think this is very fair to the ideal of the tour not to spend time with what we are making available to you.

I know from the DAM listening sessions that there is a tendency to load up on gear when audio geeks get together.

I will ask that for any more sessions that the folks listening to the gear try to concentrate on the JJAZ amps and the BOLDER Cables. Comparing the gear to one other amp or other brands of cables is to be expected and encouraged. Trying to listen to half a dozen amps in two hours does not give any a fair listen.

I do also wish to add a caveat that was brought up by Hugh Dean of AKSA in regards to his amp audition "I would prefer that people working in hifi sales or manufacturing do not review the amps or cables; these are AUDITION AMPLIFIERS AND CABLES FOR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS ONLY"

If this is a problem for you and you do NOT wish to listen to the amps or cables now, please let me know and I will not waste anyone's time by having the gear shipped to you.

Shipping for the four boxes is expected to be paid to send the gear along to the next person on the audition. Each box is to be insured for $2500.00. The cost of shipping will run between $60.00 and $80.00. I think it best if a group of guys get together to auditon the amps and all chip in for the shipping

The tour has ended.

The mono-block amps have been rewired with Summit input wire, NITRO AC wire and a special 12 AWG NITRO wire for speaker outptus.

The amps have been sent to Srajan Ebaen for a review at 6 Moons.

After the rewire, and using these amps with a Equitech Balanced Power System, they were outstanding! All the detail and warmth of the low powered Tripath gear with LOTS OF POWER. :D

I just heard the the formal review of the JJAZ amps should be done in about 10 days.

The Padauk Chassis mono-blocks are already spoken for.

I will be getting the IP205KW back. It might become available again for audition purposes.

There has been some pricing adjustments on the JJAZ amps to reflect shipping costs from Denmark.

The Paduak cased amps will not be stocked. They will only be built to order. The case takes about 3 weeks to make.

Well if the might turns into a trip to Iowa, I would love to hear it.  How does the jjaz compare to other iceamp modules?  I saw one this morning while I was winding down from the gym at acoustic reality or something of that nature?  Very intriguing technology for sure.  I wonder how it compares top the modded panny if anyone happens to have both?

I might be the only person who has heard both an ICE Power amp and a modded Panny.

First, you cannot drive the ICEPower from the Panny. There are no preamp outputs on the Panny and no digital input on the JJAZ.

With a good preamp in front of the JJAz, I feel the sound is more "natural". It is not quite as analytical as the Panny in comparison.

The JJAZ has much deeper and tighter bass.

I feel the JJAZ matches up great with a tube preamp like the deHavilland Ultra Verve.

The Acoustic Reality amps do not include shipping costs.Tthey have no repair center in the US. If anything goes wrong, you have to ship it back to Denmark at your expense. From what I have heard from someone who has tried one, the quality of the case is rather lacking.

It all comes down to, you get what you pay for :)

I should get the 500 watt stereo amp back from 6Moons this week. If anyone would like to audition this amp, please contact me .

The 1000 watt amps are not available for audition.
