I bought this recently from the original owner who at one time owned 4 of them and I could not pass it up. The amp sounds excellent however I have decided it is WAY overkill for my current setup running Klipsch (high efficiency) speakers and I can probably more efficiently re-allocate my AV funds.
Amp is in EXCELLENT shape and runs quiet.
About a year after the original owner bought the amp he had the power supply bypass caps upgraded to SCRs by a electrical engineer friend of his. The amp has never been in for service and has never had the bias checked. As you may know, there is a circuit in the amp, that returns the bias to a low position, if no input signal goes through the amp after 10 min or so. The amp cools to a luke warm condition until the sensing circuit sees a signal coming in the input.
