FS: Mark Levinson No.326S with phone, New in box
« on: 5 Jun 2016, 10:03 pm »
Selling my Mark Levinson No.326 Preamp with phono.  This item is brand new and in the unopened box, and was purchased for a planned 2 channel listening room a couple years ago.  That planned 2ch room never happened (and will not happen) so I’m selling the 2ch gear I’ve already purchased.

No.326S Retail $10,000 + Phono option Retail $1400 = $11400
Asking $6200.

This piece has been universally praised as one of the best sounding preamplifiers around.

From 10audi.com:
“The Levinson 326S preamplifier has such a minor effect on the signal passing through that it does not warrant a more exploratory review. It does not sound like a solid state preamplifier nor like a tube preamplifier. There is no weakness in the bass, midrange, or treble. It sounds just as tight, powerful, fast, warm, rich, clear, extended, open, detailed, and 3-dimensional as the source requires. Dynamic impact is stunning. Of all of the preamplifiers I have tried, the 326S easily wins for the best user interface. The build quality of the preamp and remote control are a continuing source of pride and joy of ownership. Operation and reliability have been faultless….”

From hometheaterhifi.com:
“Fortunately, I can write this conclusion and don't have to speak it, because the Mark Levinson No 326S preamplifier took my breath away. Its looks, build quality, and sound are unconditionally superb.”

From hometheaterreview.com:
“For a true state of the art, high-end piece the No. 326S is so effortlessly simple to install, use and live with day to day it makes less capable products look and feel complicated.
• Sonically the No. 326S floats my boat and I don't think I'm alone. The spaciousness and air the No. 326S is capable of reproducing is addicting and can result in extended listening sessions. The No. 326S's bass extension is superb and its high frequency response has few rivals.
• The No. 326S, unlike a lot of reference preamps, doesn't mind if you throw it a few less than perfect recordings from time to time, it understands and is surprisingly capable and musical with even the nastiest of recordings, i.e. 128kbps iTunes downloads…
.. the No. 326S is simply brilliant when it comes to playing back seemingly every genre of music. It is one of the best two channel preamps I've heard to date.”
