I'm considering going a different direction for my preamp and want to see if there is any interest in a pretty special Dodd preamp I bought here on the AC. Here's a brief description:

This is a very special version of the highly coveted preamp designed by the late great Gary Dodd. This particular unit has Duelands @ $1,700.00, laser cut precise resistors @ $200. source by Trung a cryoed Gold Lyon 6h30pI @ $50., as well as a Russian 1979 military 6H30P1 purchased from Kevin at Upscale for $190.00.  For a total of $2,100.00 in upgrades alone. Includes a Ctek charger which can be plugged in constantly with no impact to sound quality.

i had one of these once (no upgrades), and it was the clearest, most detailed audio component I ever had. Good luck with your sale!

Thanks lonfident! I heard the Dodd battery pre at RMAF many moons ago (Gary Dodd and Danny Richie were exhibiting together) and was smitten right off the bat. It took me several years to work it into my system but it is very, very nice indeed. Very clear, open and great dynamics. Still not 100% I want to let it go but trying to fund a couple other items. We'll see. I guess audiophillia sometimes gets the best of me.

I've often found that posting photos can actually create more serious interest for viewers, where maybe none existed or was only budding.
