Up for sale unfortunately are my beloved pair of CARDERSOUND TYBONES speakers they are single driver configuration back loaded horn enclosure ( think Cain and Cain double mouths)
These speakers present a huge soundstage, openness, incredible detail using ONLY a 4.5 in driver. When Jeff Carder first made these they came with the Fostex Fe 126ens. It sounded very good and I happily enjoyed listening to these fine speakers. A few years ago
Louis of Omega speakers had produced his own 4.5 in driver called the RS5's and I replaced the old Fostex with his. There was no contest these are lightening fast drivers and takes this speaker to a whole new level..No shout as previously before, better time coherence, better pin point accuracy.
The speaker is 94db sensitivity 8 ohm very easy load on both tubes and SS amps. as little as 1 watt to 100 watt amps no issues.
These speakers are just too big for our current room set up. Too many little nieces and nephews with a possibility of tipping them over.
They stand at 72" depth 18" width 6.5". However when these speakers are played they just disappear.
These speakers can handle all kinds of music, from classical, rock to Jazz.
Since they are considered full range there maybe some of us that want a little more in the bass area. I have used a subwoofer to take care of that area. So if you feel the need for more visceral bass I have the perfect solution. I can take care of that for you.
As you can see in the enclosed pictures these are top quality furniture grade speakers. They are finished in Cherry. No cheap finish on these babies and they are very hefty and solid weighing a little over 80 lbs each.
They have been enjoyed in a pet free, smoke free environment, but not child free hence the sale.
Since these are heavy speakers and I have a bad back these days THIS WILL HAVE TO BE A LOCAL SALE.. My asking price is $1000
