I don't want to add any spoilers but I will say the movie is fantastic!   Marvel has been on a serious roll lately; even their B-list characters and books like GotG and Ant Man have been great.  To tell the truth I've enjoyed all of the new Marvel films but Civil War is perhaps the best yet.  One of the best elements is that instead of faceless, anonymous foes like we got in the first Avengers and The Age of Ultron we get just heroes- ones we know well from the books and movies.  Chadwick Boseman is superb as Black Panther and the kid that plays Spidey is a breath of fresh air after the last turkey that Fox dragged out.  Really all the performances are great.  I read a year or so ago that RDJ was earning nearly $50M per film!  As incredible as that sounds he may actually be underpaid.

If you like any of the Marvel films or comic books in general this one is a must-see!

Yes, Civil War was terrific. OMG, Black Panther was AWESOME. That, uh, 'giant' scene at the airport was HILARIOUS. The 'new kid' in that scene was terrific as well. I have to admit he may actually eclipse previous attempts at his part. Considering how many characters they had to cycle through, Marvel and the Russos arguably did a better job than Avengers/Ultron. I think they have to be careful about trying to cram in too much though. The Cap v. Tony tension could have been built up more IMO. Winter Soldier still ranks as the best to me because there weren't so many charatcer arcs to deal with.

I'm gonna say Chris Evans is the underpaid one. Cap is a part that could have been gone wrong in so many ways because it's the quintessential hero/leading man and Evans just gives him so much depth and humanity in every delivery. Stark is a character actor as leading man role and RDJ is brilliant, but I think Evans has the harder part. The whole cast is excellent, really. Elizabeth Olsen is *really* good.

Edit: Oh I see you actually mention Spider-Man. I guess that's not a spoiler.

Long time reader of Marvel. 
Spidey is inching closer to what I believe his persona is manifested.  His Aunt, I never wanted to Trump, but in this movie...seriously!  Nicely done on the artistic license. 
Cap is the hero! Oscar goes to...the hero
Metal head whom I have liked all the way through the (movie) series, has to many scenes, and totally overpaid...unless of course he is being philanthropic...but who am I kidding.
Antman...never knew of before...quite enjoying now.
Black Panther...cannot wait until his next well acted and storyline comes out.  Never really knew of his story as well. 

I am a reader of the 70'-80'-90's...I have a friend that told me about the civil war 7 years ago...I think...He also harangued on about the Hulk.

Civil War was a fantastic movie, top two...Deadpool is right in there.

I should have said Evans and RDJ are both underpaid.  They absolutely make the movie IMO.  Everyone is great but the chemistry and interplay between Steve/Cap and Stark/IM is superb.  The guy that plays Bucky is great as well.  I was a little bit worried beforehand about how Black Panther would work, but I worried for nothing!  Absolutely fantastic!  From the costume to the movements to the great portrayal of T'Challa by Boseman.  He's such a great actor and one of the rare Oscar-level actors working out there that really nails the physical stuff.  He really seems like he could be a pro athlete (give him a look in the biopic of Jackie Robinson).

Marvel's strategy of rolling out many of the characters in their own movies first really pays off here.  Of course occasionally they do it the other way around.  But it's great that Rudd has a fully developed character in Ant Man that we're familiar with well before he shows up the first time in Civil War.  It's wonderful that they throw us comic geeks a bone by letting him "giant-man-out", too.  I don't think this qualified as a spoiler since it's shown in the trailer but pitting the heroes against each other is much more interesting than watching them pulverize waves of faceless robots.  This film is pretty much the movie version of a bunch of 12 year old kids playing with their action figures!   Which I mean in a good way.

BTW, the best intro Black Panther is probably the Marvel animated film.   All of them are well done; if you haven't checked them out they're well worth the time.

The first movie I'll watch AGAIN in the theater. The first movie where there was a thunderous applause at the finale! The first movie where a great majority of the audience stayed right through the credits.

Saw it with my daughter.  Really liked it.  It was nice to see a movie where the fight scenes were based on character and logic, and that every character has a specific fighting style unique from everyone else. 

I also liked how they set you up for a revenge arc with Black Panther and his father, but turned toward justice instead of vengeance.  I'm reading Aeschylus right now (Agamemnon, Libation Bearers, the Eumenides) and it's the same theme.  Interesting to see how certain themes resonate through time.

Sorry, didn't like it, not did the friend I went with.  Thought it was confusing and disjointed.  Really don't remember much of it as I was pretty disinterested throughout the movie.  Not horrible, just nothing grabbed me.  Maybe I'll give it another shot on bluray.

Did you watch the previous Avengers single and team movies, particularly Ultron and Winter Soldier?  If not, then understandable you were confused as the conflict from the other movies laid the seeds for the conflict in Civil War. If yes, then I don't know what to say. The plot and storyline was very well laid out IMO.

I've seen all the Marvel movies and was still left wondering why are they fighting.  I suppose I should says I don't care why they were fighting.  Nothing in the movie grabbed my attention and made me want to watch.  I barely remember the plot or what happened during the movie.  I just saw it a month ago, conversely I'm still haunted by Sofie's Choice and can remember every detail of To Kill a Mockingbird or Silence of the Lambs.  Extreme examples to illustrate a point, but you get the idea.  I like the Marvel series and was looking forward to this new installment, but at the end of the movie both my date and I were, meh, ok, nothing great.  But based on all your rave reviews I think I should give it another shot on bluray, maybe we just weren't in the right frame of mind for it that night.

I’m with Letitroll, while I watched all of the Marvel movie’s, the age of Ultron and now CA Civil War
will be last one I will pay to see.. My attention span for either of those movie’s was near zero. I guess
those movies just aren’t for me..
