I joined Audio Circle back in 2011 and was not active if at all. In the process of startting to put things in order for my move back to the States, specifically Columbus, Ohio, am going to become more of a "regular" on the site.

Don't know much about the Columbus, Ohio audio scene and would like to know more about it and its local enthusiasts.

About my system: (as it stands)

Bel Canto Design s300 i/u  - integrated amplifier
exaSound e22 - DAC
Audio Physic Tempo IIIi - speakers

Mac Mini w/ 10TB lossless music - running Audirvana Plus 1.5

looking forward to hearing from folks.

Is it David² or David³?   :D
Anyway welcome to AudioCircle and Ohio.
I wish I could give you more information about Columbus but I only venture over that direction ever so often.
You should like the area, there is plenty to do around there, my niece used to live there, plus you not to far from the NEO Crew on here (http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=110630.0 ).
I live about an hour west in Dayton and have a few people I keep in touch with over here.
If you ever feel like venturing west you will be more than welcome for a listening session.

Welcome back David.  :thumb:

New to Columbus? Well, there is no better way to ingratiate yourself with the local townsfolk than to greet them in the manner in which they are accustomed. Since you are not yet familiar with local Columbus customs, whenever you greet anyone on the street it would be proper to say, "Hello, my name is David. Go blue." The locals will get a kick out of your colloquial knowledge and warmly welcome you to their quaint little town.

"Hello, my name is David. Go blue."

That's very fine advice....

My niece is a graduating Buckeye. I have been indoctrinated. I just barely missed being tattooed one drunken night with a BIG "O" on my right calf. I reckon best way to meet the locals is to grab some Chinese food at Joy's on High Street and then finish the meal off with some Buckeye Do-Nuts.

I'd say that's a bit more sociable than your advice. Nice try though :)

Once I get settled in to the apartment and get my system set up am looking forward to rousting up the local Columbus audiophiles and having them come by mine and do something drastic - meet in person AND listen to music.

I know that must sound like heresy to some.

With all my travels I have gone all digital out of necessity. It has been interesting to say the least, and it has really opened my eyes to the category of integrated amplifier/DAC combos - most notably the Nuprime IDA-8. I truly believe it may be a "GIANT KILLER" Time will tell.

Looking forward to meeting enthusiasts and industry professionals alike.
