Anyone else try one of these preamps from Tube Audio Design/Bizzybee audio  ?. I just received one a couple days ago and i am very impressed ----  lots of smooth detail and clarity.  Very nice midrange.   At the going A'gon auction price it is a steal imo.   Very good looking also ......................

I read very good things about the underlying unit, the Audcom 120.  Of course that sold for $319.  Unfortunately it is no longer available at that price from what I hear.  Is the TAD 150 really that much (any) better?  Perhaps it is, or perhaps the added cost is the price we pay to have somebody take the risk of importing large enough quantities to meet demand.

I know nothing about the Audcom 120, but according to the TAD site the TAD 150 is a completly different pre and not related at all to the Audcom 120.

Is the TAD 150 better ? ..........  i have no idea  --- never heard a Audcom 120.

Completely different huh?  Funny that the TAD 150 still says on the back of the unit is is manufactured by Audcom.
