A few changes: first the last price drop I can possibly absorb. Two, Now I do have a real need and good reason to sell this, but it is not within the scope of audio and is not appropriate to mention here, and three, you can contact me anyway you want -- direct email, post in the topic, or send PM.

No real good reason for selling this except that I want to go back to a NOS DAC -- just like them better and match my other components better.

This DAC has hardly been used (not even broken in yet, is in fantastic condition and comes with the upgraded power supply with the Wy Wires upgraded umbilical. Thisone is black and only has the older, tiny remote, but using the iOS app is far easier and a far better way to go.

I have all original packing box and materials. Understand that I have a bad back and it may take me until the end of next week to get it out the door -- I'll work to get it out as soon as I can, but just be prepared for this slight delay.

Price is a firm $1850.00 and I'll take personal check (once it clears, money order, or Paypal (vastly preferred). I will also cover all shipping,insurance, and paypal fees. Sale is limited to ConUS - sorry.

I take offers in the order I receive them as based on the time stamp on the email, not from a reply on AC or PM. After years of doing this I've found that this is the only consistent and fair way to do things.

This is a gem of a DAC in fantastic condition -- no scratches or other issues, cosmetic or operational, and the app is freely available on the App Store -- I have had no problem with the app on any of these iOS devices: iPad mini1 and 3, iPod Touch 5G, and iPhone 4s. Just power up the DAC, load the app, and everything else takes care of itself -- no need to do any pairing or other setup. Couldn't be easier.

I forgot to add that I had my wife look the DAC and Power supply over throughly for dents and scratches and all she found was a couple of fingerprints on the DAC, which of course will be wiped off before packing it up.

I would post pics but I'd have to wait for my wife to get home later today, but even if I have pictures, I would have no idea how to post them from an iPad.

I just want assure folks that this piece is very clean and for all intents and purposes looks new. No cosmetic or functional issues at all.

Excellant dac and I replaced a Melody PB101 with the Exogal Comet for volume.

Ok, I'm just going to bite the bullet and drop the price as far as I can to $1850 -- less than half price. I'm taking a real bath on this one but I now really must move this.

Tubeburner -- thanks for the plug, and aside from the analog input, superb digital volume control (the only one I have liked), and the headphone output (Never used it so can't comment), and both RCA and XLR outs available at the same time, this is simply a wonderful and natural sounding DAC that with the addition of the upgrade power supply and Wy Wires umbilical, becomes something very special indeed.

I will also include an upTone Audio Regen and a .7m Supra USB cable (with the regen holds its' own with much more expensive cables.

A great package of great sound, at a great price.

Update: everything is now safely packed in it's original box and is ready to ship, so there will be no delays.

Jim is truly a rare bird, a great man and an honorable seller.
From what I've heard and from what others have written, the Comet is a stellar dac.
I even offered to purchase the supra usb and the Wywires umbilical, but Jim doesn't wish to break up the set. IMHO, this is a heck of a deal.

Ok, not sure why there is no interest at all in this already fantastic deal, but now I've dropped the price to $1750 which is as low as I can possibly go. I can't explain why, but it has nothing to do with audio.
