Thinking of going back "up" in power. My pair of Triode Lab SET 2A3M's are about a year old, the tubes only have around 300 hours on them. Musical, quiet, extremely well-built amps (made in Canada). You need sensitive speakers, obviously.

- Class A, Autobias circuit, No NFB
- Input sensitivity 0.5mV
-
Output power 3.5 Watts- Hammond transformers and chokes
- Hammond solid wood frames (not perfectly matched, but not bad)
- Mundorf EVO Aluminum/Oil input caps
- Mundorf M-Cap Supreme Silver/Oil coupling caps
- 4 Ohm and 8 Ohm outputs
- CMC jacks, Furutech IEC's with integral fuses
- High-grade ceramic tube sockets
- High-grade wiring and silver soldering throughout
- Steel top plates painted in Porsche Orange
- Painted steel bottom plates
- Tube complement (per amp): 12AX7 x 1, 2A3 x 1, 5V4G x 1 (or 5U4). Tubes included as shown: Shuguang 2A3BC, Sovtek 12AX7LPS, RCA NOS 5V4G's (the rectifiers are test-matched).
- Condition 8/10 or better. No marks..they're close to what I'd consider Mint. Smoke-free and pet-free home.
-
$1250. $1150 + costs. These were the 2015 prototypes. The production version, with identical circuit & parts but a different chassis, lists for $3999.
(link)I do enjoy these amps a lot and am not in a hurry to part with them. I'd be interested in a possible trade for a good push-pull power amp (or integrated), e.g. Copland, Sonic Frontiers, Audio Space, something in this price range, or a decent solid-state amp, e.g. Aragon, Belles, Parasound, Odyssey. Or
possibly, a pair of speakers. Not that I need any more speakers!

(notice that in normal lighting, the difference in wood tone between the two bases is hard to see)
