We are currently remodeling our home and I want to add some in-ceiling speakers to the kitchen and dining room area. Need 4 speakers total and want to keep it under $500 total.  Any recommendations? I'm currently looking at some Polk's or Definite Technology.

I would also be curious about a recommendations for a head unit to run them. Most likely I will also run a couple of speakers to the yard, and run them off the same unit. Source will probably be iPad or something similar. Budget is about the same, under $500.

Don't know anything about these but they have lots of choices - http://www.outdoorspeakerdepot.com/speakers.html

Don't forget places like Parts Express or accessories4less.com too

Thanks Phil!! I hadn't heard of 2 of those vendors, so I will check them out.

I've used LSA in-walls and in-ceilings in my house and others - at their factory direct pricing they are a great value IMO.  Scroll to bottom of page:  http://www.underwoodhifi.com/products/lsa-group

I used some Dayton in ceiling and in wall from partsexpress. Perfect for TV and my son's video games.
