WE91a type amp ~~ $SOLD

I bought this amp on a whim, but right afterwards found a Don Garber Fi-X 2A3 amp come up for sale that I've been lusting after.  Since getting that this beautiful sounding amp has just been sitting around.  Since it is a bit too big for my rack also, it needs to find itself a new home so it can be enjoyed.  The amp has a few scratches but it only is cosmetic, the amp works perfectly and sounded amazing with my Omega Alnico speakers.  Here is the description from the seller I bought it from:

"It is a western electric design with new twist on an old great design. It uses 6c6 pentode for signal/driver 5r4 rectifier and 300b for power and has James transformers. If you are questioning the choice of 6c6 driver tube just do a little research. It is a magical equivilant of the unobtainable we310 tube originally used in this design. Once you hear this tube you WILL BE BLOWN AWAY! It is nothing less than amazing! Btw all caps are paper and oil because there is no equal sonically...It has bias pots located on top beside each 300b and it has a master volume so you can just connect a source and have no need for a pre amp. "

As you can see it has great James output transformers and is built well with great parts.  It comes with JJ 300B tubes, Tung Sol 6C6 and a Tung Sol 5R4WGB.

Shipping and Paypal fees are included in the price.

UPDATE: James contacted me to let me know that he saw this ad and that he DID NOT BUILD THIS AMP.

Sorry, seller - I'm sure you are honest, but you were taken.

James did say that the amp is easily worth the asking price via the parts alone and that it looks nice.

Wow I didn't expect to hear that, I bought it as if it was built by him (not that I knew who he really even was).  Did James say anything more about it other than it was not him that built it?

Looks very much like an early Tube Audio Labs build. I had a similar later version.
