is there a difference between toeing in the front of the speaker and toeing out the rear of the speaker?

They are parallel to each other, so wouldn't a change in one HAVE to be reflected in a change to the other - is it possible to angle the front of the box, without moving the rear?

it would seem that when you toe out the rear of the speaker the rear will be closer to the side walls whereas toeing in the front the front of the speaker will be farther away from the side walls.

Ah, Grasshopper, do you not see the way? It's all in moderation. Toe in the front, just a little, and toe out the back an equal amount. Then you will achieve balance.

Ahh - I think one should move the rear of the speaker, or you are shifting the location, not just the angle of the front.
You are talking about pivoting, and asking about what point to pivot from, right?

I find that you get the best results if you toe in the front of the left speaker and toe out the back of the right speaker, but only if you shift your listening position to the right just a little bit...
