Rats, back to my old Denon 52f, for whatever reason the weight on my out-board motor not cooperating, the flywheel weight won't spin freely.
Cleaned then re-lubed with white lithium grease twice, no joy.
I put a few drops of synthetic motor oil on the capstan stems of the 2 motor driven black, belt drive disks.
Then a gob of white lithium grease on the bearing of the flywheel weight that sits between the black drive disks/motors – that the capstan belts drive.
Also white lithium grease on the platter bearing, it seem to spin fine.
But the flywheel weight seems to resist spinning. It moves, but the belts driving it vibrate rapidly, as though fighting a load that’s more than they can handle.
And LPs do not spin to proper speed.
Is there a better lubricant for the motor weight?
