Hi all-  I'm running a Marantz PM6005 to a pair of KEF Q300's..which are currently sitting on the ground.  I'm having a devil of a time finding reasonable quality speaker stands.  I've looked at the Pangea Audio DS300, Atacama 6 (I think too small), the Atacama Moseco 500XL, the FS Series from Custom Design, and something like the Sanus NF24 (I don't know..might be too small for those too). The KEF base dimensions are 210 x 302 mm (8.3 x 11.9 in.).  Does anyone have any suggestions of what is very good quality out of these or another that you might suggest? Speaker stand reviews are not incredibly common online from what I can find outside of communities like this. I know that height matters and plan to focus on stands that will make the tweeters roughly ear level.  Any tips would be very much appreciated!

Welcome!

I ordered the Sanus Model: SF26-B1 from BestBuy for $127.99 with free shipping.  These are the steel series and I just put them together.  They are fairly heavy and well constructed.  The top plate measures 6.5" deep by 6" wide, 26" in height, and they can support up to 35 lb spkrs.

They would work well with your KEF's.

Avoid metal stands, they transmit vibrations very strongly, fill with sand only worsens the situation.
Preferably use wood stands mainly solid wood.
