HI,
(sorry, i responded too fast to see you mention your BOT. Pardon me please, ill leave the rest to the post. Maybe you can test the cloning process, so you only need to rip once)
Do you rip with a pc/mac or BOT?
If the former, you're best bet would be to rip to the device you're reading the cd with, then copy to either or both internal BDP and NAS. Even automize the copying to both of these to keep them synchronized.
I find the ripping and copying to the BDP, and of course updating these, best to be separated processes, since every once in a while in either of these processes something goes amiss, and then end up in a confusing chaos of errors.
If you separate the processes, you know you won't frustrate the BDP with copying issues, let alone updating the newly added files.
A NAS does a lot more things than accept your new files. Manages many background processes, so often is a lot slower than the harddrive of you pc/Mac. After finishing the RIP, simply send it to the NAS and BDP, and leave it do its things.
Fool and fail proof is my experience.
I don't have a Bot (for the above reasons btw, and the necessity for the BOT to be attached to the BDP, which is a real letdown for me) so can not be of help in that scenario
Cheers,
Marius
