date code on a 4b ST I'm looking at is 981 - am I right that this means produced in first week of Jan 1998 ? Second question is a lot more general -interior of unit makes it pretty clear that a LOT of cigarettes were smoked around this unit - not naming a price - but what kind of % do you knock off for prior ownership by the Marlboro Man ?

Easily chop another 25% off the price. On top of the reduced component life, I'd also be nervous that the buildup could lead to corrosion as well.
