Aren't there screws in the basket?  Just unscrew them and pop the woofer out...carefully.  The thing to be worried about is the finish on your speaker and yanking the xover inside, but you should be ok.

try angling it out...the magnet structure of the woofer is probably pretty big and is a tight squeeze to get out...

There could be adhesive around the edge of the basket holding the driver to the baffle.  If so, carefully do some prying with something like a putty knife in a manner as to not scar the baffle.

That happened to me.  It's most likely the rubber gasket, or at least it was in my case.  ohenry's got the idea :)

Personally I'd put it on Totem as the manufacturer. Let them take the responsibility to give you proper instructions. Then they can't say later that you performed unauthorized service... :!:

One trick I've seen talked about to remove drivers is to lie it down on it's face so that the driver isn't supported by anything, and has an inch or so to drop. Then let gravity take it's course.

So if you took a pair of books, or thick magazines and used those to support the speaker so that when it's laying on it's face it's resting on the books and the driver you want to remove isn't being supported.

It might take a bit of time for it to drop out on it's own if gravity is the only thing pulling it out. So you might just want to leave it for a day or so.

getting anywhere on this sleepkyng?  I hope so, since the Rokk is a good speaker when properly sorted.

Have you called Totem?

ah, nothing like tryin to read 4 books in two days, fix a speaker, calm down a crazy manhattan girlfriend, pay my bills and write an 8 page essay.

cheers fellas, your suggestions are very helpful, i'll let yah know when i get time to the speaker.
