A 24/96 analog to digital converter and a DAC in one. Features an AKM 4524 chipset and more uniquely the ADC circuit has a 12AXX7 to add as a variable tube buffer for any analog source you digitize such as your vinyl, ripped files etc. Includes at no extra cost a Monoprice coax to toslink format converter to allow the ADC section to be used with devices that have only toslink inputs. The Dac section itself is no slouch esp. with the Stancor power supply
Professionally Modded as follows: 1. original 1/4" jacks replaced with high quality Tiffany style teflon RCA's in and out 2. Rewired with pure silver wire for both sets of jacks as well as between the two internal circuit boards 3. Schottky diodes added and I believe some p.s.caps but can't recall specifics on the caps. 4. Gain reduced to approx 2 volts from original pro level using resistors for both analog in and out 5. Stancor power supply with added inline power switch 6.a 75 ohm shorting plug for unused coax input. Includes a PentaLabs 12AX7 ..Excellent cosmetic shape and fully operational. Used daily until recent replacement. Located in Victoria BC Canada -ship by postal service with tracking at cost - approx. $25- 30 depending on location given the combined weight with the transformer (it's heavy).
