BIT AVR Specs
« on: 29 Mar 2016, 12:01 pm »
Where are the specs, manuals, etc. for the AVR series on the Bryston Website? I can find this information anywhere. I see that the new cubed amps have been added however the BIT pages are still the old ones showing the original faceplates and no mention at all of the new options, models and AVR's.

Thanks

They have not been updated but the AVR just adds Automatic Voltage Control to the BIT so the specs are the same.

Yeah but I suspect the dimensions of the chassis' are different as well as weights. That's basically what I'm looking for.

Hi

Yes the height changes by 1 rack-space higher per unit to allow for the AVR circuitry. Do you have a space restriction?

The AVR 20 weighs 88 pounds. There is not much difference in weight between AVR and non-AVR.

Yes, depending on height there might be a space restriction for a BIT-20 AVR in my tv stand to ensure ventilation above the unit. I currently have a Furman IT-Reference there now but the intent is to replace it with at least a BIT 20, possibly a BIT 20 AVR. If the AVR was to high I could move the AVR circuitry over to a smaller unit i.e. a BIT 15 AVR and just have my amps and subs plug into a normal BIT 20.
