Truly audiophile sound. Exceptional soundstage. Beautiful sound. Punches way above its price point.

Local pickup or meet up near Philadelphia, PA. I accept PayPal and buyer pays fees.

This is an amazing two way floorstander from Meadowlark. It is a somewhat larger version of the famous "Kestrel" which put Meadowlark on the map. The Shearwater uses higher quality drivers than the Kestrel, and has deeper bass response (and sold for almost 3X the price). These are extremely musical, transparent, smooth, and enjoyable to listen to. In my opinion, this pair will give the owner an introduction to virtual reference quality sound - at less than a grand!

This is the "Hot Rod" version, which was originally a $500 factory upgrade that included better crossover components (Audience AuriCap Capacitor), Tara Labs Rectangular Solid Core Wiring, Cardas binding posts, etc. A date stamp inside the crossover area says "July 2000".

You've posted 120 x 120 pixel thumbnails which is also the actual size of the photos in your Gallery, although the first one contains "600x450" in the label (?).

Can you post the photos themselves?

I'm local here in Philadelphia.  Interested in any trades/partial trades?  I have a AES (Cary Audio) AE-3 DJH Super Preamp and a Sony PS-X75 turntable if either of those interest you :)  I've heard great things about Meadowlark speakers and am itching to try a pair :)

I am away from my computer right now and when I try to post them from my phone they are sideways. If you are interested I can send you the images via pm. I will post more pictures tomorrow.

Sorry, I am not interested in any trade for a preamp or the Sony turntable right now. The speakers do sound amazing though.

Here are some better photos. The covers are held in place by fishing line and easily taken off with care.

Hi, so I'm interested in these speakers if they're still available, do they happen to come with the original boxes, or would I have to bring some shipping blankets?  Can they be listened to before purchase, (I'm assuming yes, but one does have to ask).  How would you rate their physical condition, any nicks or bumps?  And lastly, what is the color of the finish, kinda hard to judge how much red is in the mix looking at the picks.
