Philharmonic 3 speakers in cherry. SOLD These are probably the best speakers you will be able to find for *** I will include 2 sets of IsoL8tr speaker bases which I highly recommend be used. I have also taken out the speaker connection terminals between the top monitor and the woofer cabinet - allowing them to be directly wired together and improving the sound even more. I have no shipping boxes so these are for pick-up in Charlotte, NC, or delivery within a reasonable distance. (I've been asked if I could get a pair of shipping boxes from Philharmonic Audio - I would be willing to do that at buyers expense). There are a few finish issues if you look very close but it has never been a problem for me. The small copper resonators seen in the pictures are made by me and are not included. They are held on by tack putty and easily removed.

Philharmonic Audio is owned by Dennis Murphy who designs crossovers for Salk and other companies. The Philharmonic 3s are his top of the line speakers and use a ScanSpeak Revelator 8-inch woofer with bass response down to 20 Hz. The BG Neo8 planar midrange driver is housed in an open-back midrange chamber that adds ambiance and depth to the sound stage. The tweeter is the superb RAAL 10D ribbon tweeter. Wow! Your selling them? Your posts are what helped me decide I wanted Phil 3's. What's next?

Woody - What replaces a pair of Phil 3s? Well, a pair of $15,000 Von Schweikert VR-7 HSE, of course! I wasn't planning on getting rid of them but then a local audiophile gave me a deal on a pair of VR-7s that I couldn't pass-up. Plus, they have a beautiful cherry finish that matches the rest of my gear. Are they "better" than the Phil 3s? Yes, but not by the multiples their retail prices would make you think. I was in contact with Dennis today about ordering some shipping boxes - he was most helpful and a gentleman as always. I'm guessing your Phil 3s with the Wells Audio integrated driving them makes some really nice music - congrats!

Thanks all! I heard another pair of Phil's 3 at a friend's house in Milwaukee several weeks ago, and was blown away.
They should be coming my way hopefully within a week or two thanks to Dennis Murphy who is providing free shipping boxes!
