Introduction

I'm pleased to join this forum. I'm Mark and I'm a proud owner of the DAC-10h. I've owned since March, 2015. Mark Sosa Sossa of Well Pleased Audio Vida helped me put together a 2 channel system. The DAC 10-h was one of his first ideas. He knew I wanted to access digital music files via Sonos; a CDP, a PC and wanted to be able to incorporate headphones.

The DAC-10h is integral. It's the central nervous system; the brains, the hub. I think it's killer. The functionality is tremendous and the sound is dynamite. It's really taken care of all the things I've wanted to do with my set up from an input perspective.

I just upgraded my speakers. So, from the DAC-10h I'm using Clones 55pm monoblocks power amplifiers and Robson Acoustics Opulus standmounts with Luminous Audio cables/interconnects.

Now, I'm focusing on the headphone piece. I've had Grado headphones for a few years, and just stepped up to "big boy" HPs and bought ENIGMAcoustics Dharma1000 which I very much like. It's a pretty unique hybrid technology with two drivers -a Washi paper dynamic driver for lows and mids and an electrostatic tweeter for the high frequencies. It synergizes well. I was pleased to see that Inner Fidelity, a headphone oriented website with extensive gear reviews, recently gave the DAC-10h a very enthusiastic review.

I'll end with a question. To complete my system , could I add an external headphone amp for a different sound signature (maybe a tube HP amp), it to the XLR balanced outputs?

Cheers and happy listening  :D
