No-rez in Hsu STF-2

Another question about the Hsu STF-2 sub.

Would replacing the polyfiber fill with no-rez yield any discernible improvement in performance?

  They are used for two different purposes. The No-Res dampens the cabinet. The polyfill is a resistive load to the driver. It makes the internal volume of the cabinet larger. Plus dampens internal reflections.
  If the Hsu cabinet rings the No-Res should help. Leave the polyfill inside.

Panelhead is correct.

The No Rez will take away panel resonances. So the bass is tightened up, cleaner, more defined, and less boomy.
