I'm selling my Salk Songseries speakers which I have used in a stereo and surround configuration for approx. 5 years. I am the original owner. Included are:

1 pair of songtowers in gorgeous died zebrawood with satin black front. Asking $1450


These prices  include shipping, but I would strongly prefer local pickup or a meet up. I have good eBay and audiogon reviews.

Condition: The speakers are all in perfect working condition and sound absolutely wonderful. However, the songtowers and song surrounds suffered some cosmetic damage during a move a couple years ago. I have used a Mohawk furniture touch up pen to conceal the flaws as best as possible. The damage to the songtowers is primarily to the top back edge and corners of the speakers. One of the surrounds has some damage outside the cone, the cone itself itself is not damaged and these imperfections are not noticeable with the grill on. As for the song center it is in very good condition but the satin finish is wearing on some of the edges. Please understand that these are not in perfect museum condition. I've added pics that I hope show clearly what I've described. I can take more pics if requested.

Why am I selling? I've decided to give a monitor/sub combo a try and after 5 years it's just time to try something new.

Just out of curiosity do you have the original boxes? I ask as if someone bought the whole package they could have the speakers shipped to Jim Salk and have them refinished. Then they'd be as good as new! Just a thought .

I definitely have the songtower box. I will have to go through my storage and dig up the other boxes, but I am fairly certain I have them as I don't usually discard big item boxes. I should be able to let you know by tomorrow.

And yes, Jim is willing to refinish speakers. The towers were initially satin black and I shipped them back to home to be refinished in zebrawood. But then some careless movers dinged up Jim's great work

That'd be excellent if you have all the boxes. I keep boxes for everything as I have plenty of storage space. I'm good as I have a two sets of Salk speakers. I mentioned having the speakers refinished by Jim as that might help with the sale of the speakers. Good luck !

Better pics of the surrounds and grills (one of the grills has a crack) showing the cosmetic defects. I hope that the cosmetic imperfections are reflected in the asking price. Sorry, I don't have original boxes for these or center channel but if shipping is a must I will pack very well, I have shipped acoustic guitars as well as a turntable and never had a problem or complaint.
