PS - Audio GCC- 100

Selling my PS Audio amp, essentially an integrated amp. I am the second owner. I packed it before I thought to take a picture and would rather not unpack it to do a photo. Link below has a picture. Mine is just like it, silver finish, etc. My unit was upgraded from stock (which Stereophile had in its Class A rankings), by Cullen Circuits who I understand were the original designers for PS-Audio. I don't know what the upgrades consisted of, with an different sort of RCA input for one pair the only visible sign of the modifications. I would like to get $850 for it, total original price including the Cullen upgrades was in the $3800 ballpark. I'd think on the Audiogon scale it would be a 9, imo.  I live in Wyoming. PM me if interested. I realize this amp isn't one of the flavors of the day, but for rock solid construction, versatility, and excellent sound, it's hard to beat.

just my 2 cents here - I've owned 2 Cullen modded and 2 unmodded GCC amps over the years. All are totally bulletproof, but the Cullen modded units are much superior sonically,  really nice sounding and maybe the best choice among Icepower amps. I use one in my recently upgraded office rig, and am very pleased with it. The "preamp" gets short shrift, but it is incredibly clean and very flexible.

Can this be used just as a preamp to use with active speakers? Does it have HT bypass?

Yes, it can be used as just a preamp or as an amp only. I think the Stereophile review talks about it. HT bypass? I don't know. Jonbee?

According to the Owner's Reference Manual for GCC-100 / GCC-250 / GCC-500, the front panel setup menu allows you to adjust

Input Name
Input Gain
Home Theater Bypass Input

Home Theater Bypass Mode:
This mode allows you to assign one of the Inputs as a Home Theater Bypass. This allows you to use your 2-channel preamp in your multichannel home theater system. Normally, your Surround Sound Processor or Receiver would be plugged into this input.
