An impromptu mini fest took place last night on the 27th.  I happened to be in the area (Eden) and looked Hantra up.  We had some dinner and then back to his place for a listen to his gear.  Since I didn't even bring music I guess it's hard to call that a fest!

However, it was great to meet him & his wife, listen to the wonderful Piega's and be able to select from hundreds of songs without moving from the chair!  Sound was damn nice too - Gotta love a dedicated room!

It was a great evening, got to listen to some new music that's now on the "gotta get" list, have a real dinner (Eden's not exactly known for it's dining) and finally meet Brandon in person.

I do however expect a full write-up on my system.  

Actually, it's nice to have people come hear your system who don't live near you.  There's no accountability, and they can say what they think without them fearing that you will hop in the car, cruise to their house, and engage them in armed combat.  

Nevertheless, I sat off to the side last night, and I was as excited, and emotionally impacted as I used to be when I had my 2nd favorite amp (of the amps I have owned) of all time, the Plinius 8200 MkII.

I think the freaking Fat Boy Ref II I added a couple weeks ago is absolutely unreal, and an amazing piece of wire.  It didn't change the character of the system, but it took the entire thing up a few notches!

Have a good trip back B.  Next time, give us notice, and we'll setup a meet and listen to different systems. .
