I just replaced my 100W HDPlex power supply with this.
I'm using a CAPS Zuma v.3 and I have it hooked up directly to the ATX outlets of the 300W, bypassing the internal power supply. Chord Qute EX DAC, Server 2012, JRiver...
Wow!
I'm hearing instruments in tunes that I had not previously heard and I'm deciphering previously unintelligible lyrics. Bass is tight.
Wiring the Zuma this way required a bit of a hack. I have to operate it with the lid off to accommodate the ATX connectors, but it is worth the cosmetic price.
Highly recommended. It always amazes me how much difference changes in the computer hardware make.
Plus Larry is a pleasure to deal with.
Now, any advice on tweaking the ATX connectors? All of those DC signals that are unshielded and not even in twisted pairs, makes me think there's room for improvement. But perhaps I've been drinking the KoolAid of the audiophile cable companies for too long... maybe ferrite beads?
Also, wiring the SDD and the USB required a cut and solder job splitting the 4pin HDD ATX connector into two 5v supplies. I suspect there's a more elegant solution.
